The Econo Lodge Association Board has voted to utilize flat fee pricing for the 2015 Co-op Marketing program. The Co-op committee evaluated this change for almost a year and determined this structure will result in more members to create bigger marketing budgets for years to come.
The structure is very simple:
• Properties with 60 rooms and under will pay a flat fee of $550 per year
• Properties with 61 room and over will pay a flat fee of $850 per year
All hotels that were enrolled in Co-op for 2014, were billed for the 2015 program as part of the September 2014 Franchise Billing statement.
If a hotel is not currently participating in Co-op, now is the time to join. It is affordable and simple to enroll.

The following is a brief overview of the Co-op program:
• Participation dues from the hotels are combined with funds from Choice Hotels marketing
• For 2015, the Economy Co-op program's budget is $600,000
• These funds are used to purchase online banner ads that click through to special landing pages only displaying Co-op member hotels
• Co-op member hotels have historically seen an average return of over 5 to 1 on their investment
• The Co-op marketing program is overseen by fellow Choice hotel owners and operators through Choice marketing and MMGY Global
• More and more hotels are becoming Co-op members – by increasing Co-op membership we will be able to grow the marketing budget further, which will result in more advertising to generate more revenue to your hotel
