On August 1, Costa Rica is reopening its borders for tourists to discover life’s essentials. That means anyone from a country where there is no widespread transmission of COVID-19 will be allowed to fly into one of two airports: Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José or the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia. In order to explore Costa Rica, certain safety protocols remain, including 50% capacity in hotels, cinemas and national parks.
