Costa Rica Trade Newsletter - August 2021 Vaccinated individuals against COVID-19 and minors can enter Costa Rica without travel insurance As of August 1, Costa Rica allows minors under the age of 18 and fully vaccinated tourists against COVID-19 to enter the country without travel insurance, with the aim of increasing tourist visitation. The accepted vaccines will be: Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. You must be vaccinated with the second dose at least 14 days before arrival in Costa Rica. The country will continue to require each tourist to complete the epidemiological form called “Health Pass” at least 72 hours before their trip.
