Information regarding the use of vaccine certificates within Costa Rica
Beginning January 8, 2022, all commercial establishments in Costa Rica will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination in an effort to protect the country’s locals and visitors. Proof of vaccination must be verified by means of a QR code or a “COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card.” Commercial establishments include hotels and resorts, restaurants and bars, adventure tourism services, casinos, stores, museums, gymnasiums, and art and dance academies.

National Park
Braulio Carrillo National Park is located north of the Central Valley in the Central Volcanic Mountain Range, between the Poás and Irazú Volcanoes. This wonderful natural treasure includes Barva and Cacho Negro Volcanoes, and it’s one of the largest protected areas in Costa Rica, located in one of the country’s steepest topographical regions. The landscape consists of tall mountains densely covered by forests, and multiple canyons with rivers and streams that are of great importance for hydroelectricity production.
