COSTA RICA’S TWO-TOED SLOTH SELECTED AS THE NEXT ANIMAL TAIL FOR FRONTIER AIRLINES
|
Frontier has just announced that Costa Rica’s two-toed sloth was selected to be featured on Frontier’s next plane tail, following the contest earlier this year! Every Frontier plane tail features a unique animal, many of which are endangered, like the two-toed sloth. Through a social media contest, consumers voted on a name for the sloth, and “Tico” was the winning option. "Tico" is a term affectionately used to describe Costa Rican natives. Keep an eye out for the Frontier plane featuring Tico next year!

Carara National Park |
Carara National Park is considered part of both the Garabito and the Turrubares cantons of Costa Rica and is located just about 50 miles from San José on the southern coastal highway. Carara, meaning “river of lizards” in the Huetar indigenous language, is known for its diverse wildlife native to both dry and rain forests. Viewers enjoying the park for the day often keep an eye out for the park’s array of unique bird species, especially the scarlet macaw (Ara macao), an endangered species and the second largest parrot species in Costa Rica.
