Sunny greetings from The Beaches of Fort Myers&Sanibel

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season! Many will strive to make positive changes in 2020 by setting New Year's resolutions. The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel offers the perfect backdrop to incorporate simple lifestyle tweaks into your meetings. Below are some ideas that will help jump-start attendee healthy habits and coincide with New Year's resolutions.
New Year's Resolution #1: Exercise more
For some attendees, going to the beach pre- & post- meeting sessions translates to cold drinks and a seat in the sand. But for others, the beaches are a fitness playground; a place to run, jump, exercise and explore. Learn more about our favorite ways to seize the day and break a sweat by the shore.
New Year's Resolution #2: Eat healthier
The farm-to-table movement has swept The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel. Food lovers in your group will be enticed with intense flavors that result from eating locally sourced, freshly picked produce, seafood that's never been frozen and animals that have been raised humanely on small family farms. Here are some places to go to savor the vibrant flavors of the region.
New Year's Resolution #3: Manage stress
With 50 miles of white-sand beaches, soothing Gulf waters, picture-perfect sunsets and a relaxing environment that only nature can provide, The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel offers a tranquil setting for wellness at some of the finest world-class spas. Perfect for incentive or "bleisure" trips.
May the new year bring you good health and happiness,

Old Captiva House
After more than a year in the works and a more than $1 million investment, Old Captiva House has reopened its doors. The fine dining restaurant stands on the site of Captiva Island's very first schoolhouse which opened its doors in 1908 for the children of Captiva's pioneer settlers. Today, the National Register of Historic Places landmark continues to draw from its historic past: It features a "Darling Gallery", a collection of original J.N. "Ding" Darling illustrations and cartoons that - over his many years as a guest - he would sketch in the 'Tween Waters Inn's registration book. If you are looking for a top island dining destination or offsite event venue for your group, consider the Gulf-front view Old Captiva House.
