Instagram Says Its Algorithm Won’t Promote Reels that Have a TikTok Watermark: Instagram announced it was making changes to its algorithm and how it recommends Reels to users in an effort to stop users from posting recycled content from TikTok. Along with that, it’s issuing new best practices on its @creators account to give Instagram users tips on how to make content that’s likely to be seen and promoted.

Twitter Launches Live Test of Voice Recordings in DMs: After the feature was first spotted in testing last August, Twitter has now officially launched a full live test of voice clips within direct messages to users in India, Brazil and Japan.
Twitter Launches Birdwatch, A Wikipedia-Style Approach To Fight Misinformation: In a significant attempt to overhaul how it moderates content, Twitter unveiled Birdwatch, a pilot program to crowdsource fact-checks to combat misinformation. Birdwatch will allow regular users, called “Birdwatchers,” to identify tweets they think have misinformation and write notes with more information and context.
