YOU spoke during MMGY Global’s annual employee engagement survey, and we listened. While we continue to review areas of improvement, we hope these changes have a positive impact as we continue forward on this ever-evolving journey to LIVE our values for employees and clients.
Below are our new benefit offerings:
- A new robust EAP (Employee Assistance Program)- Health Advocate (Free)
- Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)
- Paid Time Off Carry Over Policy
- End of Year Holiday Week Closing
- Paid Bereavement Leave
- Go Explore! Travel Reward Program
Robust Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
The new Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides access to a confidential Licensed Professional Counselor to help you work through personal, family or work issues to feel happier and more productive. The EAP is available to family members and dependents as wel1, and provides a multitude of support services such as personal, family/relationships, legal, financial, concierge services, and a health advocate for billing issues.
Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)
Following the video announcement about Global Benefit changes, we are excited to confirm a NEW Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) is under development for Canadian employees. Given this is a totally new offering in Canada, the Finance Team is working to develop the plan as quickly as possible for 2022 implementation. As Mia mentioned in her video, MMGY Global will be contributing 4% to each employee's account. This benefit is one example of the new global benefits offered to you as a direct result of your hard work. We continue to be optimistic for MMGY Global as we continue to grow through travel recovery.
Paid Time Off + Holidays
Beginning in January 2022, we are standardizing our PTO/annual leave entitlements to a tenure tier approach. If you have more allowable days than the tier indicates for your years of service, you will be able to continue with those arrangements until you are eligible for the next tier.
Also, beginning in 2022 each Global member will be able to carry over five (5) days of accrued unused time to the new year to be utilized in the first quarter.
MMGY Global offers all full-time Global employees many forms of time off for things that matter to them. As we prepare for this exciting transition into the next calendar year, we wanted to share the following 2022 Global Holiday Schedule.
Floating Days
In addition to company paid holidays, MMGY Global will provide all Global employees in 2022 up to 2 floating holidays to observe nationally recognized or religious holidays important to them. These two (2) floating holidays are not included in our company-wide observed holidays, allowing employees up to 2 extra days off. With our population being made up of many different ethnic, cultural, faith, and religious backgrounds, while not intended to be an all-inclusive list, here's an extensive list of holidays that are deemed appropriate for Global floating holiday use below:

*You will now be able to request all time-off requests on the ADP system. training to follow.
End of Year Holiday Week
Starting in 2022, the office will be closed and employees will be on holiday the week between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, giving everyone the chance to enjoy time with friends and family.
We know that not all of our clients do the same. To ensure they are supported, we ask that employees working with clients or other relevant groups that do not take time off communicate our holiday week off in advance, and ensure that clients and other key resources are able to reach them with emergencies. Employees working with one of these clients/groups are encouraged to check emails once a day during our holiday week away. If circumstances require you to work a full day or more, please coordinate with your manager on the possibility of taking comparable time off in the first quarter of the new year. Annual Leave requests for the weeks prior to and immediately following the week between Boxing Day and New Years Day may be limited. This is to ensure adequate coverage in all departments to meet the business needs.
Paid Bereavement Leave
Employees are entitled to take up to five days, at full pay, to attend the funeral and/or take care of personal matters related to the death of a member of your immediate family or in the unfortunate case of miscarriage or the loss of an unborn child.
The Company also understands that animals often play the part of family in our lives. As such, employees losing an animal are entitled to use a bereavement day at full pay.
