Following the announcement about Global Benefits, we are excited to confirm a number of changes which will positively impact our UK Team as of 1st January 2022. These changes have been implemented with significant input gathered from staff opinion in the employee engagement survey and after competitive benchmarking within the industry.
Pension Scheme:
For those employees who have opted in to a Company Pension, the Company will be contributing 4% as of 1st January 2022.
Private Medical Insurance:
From January 2022 Private Medical Insurance will be an optional benefit for all UK employees. Further details will be released separately and a presentation of the scheme offering is being arranged for Wednesday 17th November 2021. Invitations will be sent out shortly.
Global Travel Reward:
Effective from January 2022 we will offer a tenured travel benefits programme that kicks in after 2 years of service. Further details to be announced in December.
Employee Referral Programme:
The employee referral benefit program will reward employees for recommending a candidate for an open permanent position in our company prior to them joining the company. Employees will be eligible for a referral fee of £500, £250 will be paid upon hire and the remaining £250 upon successful completion of probation period in the relevant months pay.
All employees are eligible for the referral reward, except those with direct hiring authority and/or supervision over the referred candidate or those working in a recruitment capacity for the Company.
Annual Leave:
Beginning in January 2022 we are standardising our Annual Leave entitlements across the UK to 25 days every year. Those with current alternative holiday arrangements will retain those entitlements.
From January 2022, Employees will be allowed to carry over up to a maximum of 5 days of Annual Leave. These days must be used within the first quarter of the following year.
Birthdays:
In addition to the annual leave entitlement, employees will also now be able to take a day off for their birthday (or a day that falls within their birth month) every year.
Holiday Shutdown:
Starting in 2022, the office will be closed and employees will be on holiday the week between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, giving everyone the chance to enjoy time with friends and family.
We know that not all of our clients do the same. To ensure they are supported, we ask that employees working with clients or other relevant groups that do not take time off communicate our holiday week off in advance, and ensure that clients and other key resources are able to reach them with emergencies. Employees working with one of these clients/groups are encouraged to check emails once a day during our holiday week away. If circumstances require you to work a full day or more, please coordinate with your manager on the possibility of taking comparable time off in the first quarter of the new year. Annual Leave requests for the weeks prior to and immediately following the week between Boxing Day and New Years Day may be limited. This is to ensure adequate coverage in all departments to meet the business needs.
Floating Holidays:
All permanent employees will be eligible for two floating holidays per calendar year.
Floating holidays can be used for any nationally recognised or religious holiday the company does not already recognise, including those that celebrate the diversity of our shared humanity.
While not intended to be an all-inclusive list, the following link indicates Holidays & Observances that are deemed appropriate for floating holiday use:

Sick Leave:
We have standardised the number of paid sick days within the UK to 5.
We hope that employees will be able to make use of the flexible working policy in cases which enable you to work but preclude you from attending the office.
Bereavement:
Employees are entitled to take up to five days, at full pay, to attend the funeral and/or take care of personal matters related to the death of a member of your immediate family or in the unfortunate case of miscarriage or the loss of an unborn child.
The Company also understands that animals often play the part of family in our lives. As such, employees losing an animal are entitled to use a bereavement day at full pay.
Jury Service:
Employees called for jury service, will continue to receive regular pay for up to two weeks of civil service annually. After two weeks of pay are exhausted employees will be permitted to take additional time off for jury or witness duty but will be required to use annual leave before going unpaid.
All of these new benefits and policy changes will be detailed in full in the Company Handbook which will be released to all employees in 2022.
