THE HUMAN RESOURCE NEWSLETTER |
COVID-19 Protocols |
Welcome back to the MMGY offices! We are so glad to see each of you.
In light of the continuing coronavirus pandemic, we’d like to share a few reminders.
When moving around the office or in a public or open space, please continue to wear a face covering. Face coverings are also required in meeting rooms when proper social distancing is not possible. If you see a co-worker moving around the office without a face covering, feel free to kindly remind them.
If you test positive or are exposed to someone who tested positive, please notify your HR manager.
If you are exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19:
If fully vaccinated, no quarantine is required. However, we do request that you take a COVID-19 test and secure a negative result before returning to the office. In the U.S., this can be a rapid (or lateral flow) test. In the UK, we ask that a PCR test be taken. Due to the availability of tests in the UK, there is an additional lateral flow test requirement following the PCR test during this period.
Once you return to the office, please closely monitor for symptoms and adhere to social distancing guidelines for a period of 10 days from the point of contact. If NOT fully vaccinated, please self-isolate/quarantine and work from home for 10 days from the date of exposure. Please notify HR and your manager if you become sick with COVID-19 symptoms.
The company is only supporting business travel for fully vaccinated employees. If you are traveling or have upcoming travel plans, please make sure that HR has a completed, signed vaccination disclosure form on file for you.
If traveling internationally, some countries require negative tests to allow entry and/or return to the home country. The cost of these pre-departure tests, as well as required tests for return, should be covered by the client as part of standard business travel expenses. When not covered by the client, the costs will be reimbursed by the company.
Finally, a COVID-19 diagnosis is confidential, medical information. If in the course of business you become aware of an employee who may have tested positive, please treat this as confidential information and limit the disclosure of names and any specifics to discussions with HR.
Again, welcome back! And let's all do our part to keep ourselves and others safe!

Policy & Benefits |
Travel Insurance
Now that business travel has resumed, there are many employee questions regarding medical insurance coverage while traveling. MMGY Global has two insurance policies through Zurich Travel Assist: one covering all MMGY Global employees; and a second UK-specific policy that provides additional coverage for the UK-based team in line with typical coverage within the UK. These policies specifically cover international travel, as medical coverage for travel within the U.S. would generally be covered by either workers’ compensation or the employee's own insurance, and within the UK by the National Health Service.
Both policies cover medical expenses, including COVID-19 treatment, while traveling internationally. They also have some additional benefits such as covering spouses and dependent children if they are traveling with you, as well as providing some level of coverage for personal travel if included as part of a business trip.
In case of an accident, incident or sickness while on international travel, please contact a member of the HR team and Zurich assistance as soon as reasonably possible. See contact information below for Zurich. This information will also be posted on MMGY Global’s intranet site for ongoing employee access.

|
For employees traveling domestically that may be quarantined or delayed due to COVID-19 (no positive diagnosis), the company will provide the necessary support/coverage of the usual travel expenses (e.g., lodging, food, transportation, etc.) to the employee until they are free to resume travel and return home.
