May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month
It is during this time that we recognize and celebrate the many cultural and historic contributions made by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.

In many respects, the AAPI community has played a pivotal role in the advancement of American society. Their contributions can be seen in a number of industries including business, medicine, law, technology and science, to name a few. There's quite a bit of Asian influence in many areas of our lives, from the food we eat to the designs we love and the entertainment that we enjoy.

And despite this strong presence and existence in modern society, there is still a bit of misperception of the AAPI community that has unfortunately resulted in discrimination and hate crimes. This month, we want to increase our understanding of the AAPI community and learn how we can become better allies in promoting equity and inclusion. Please consider being part of this month’s activities, which are listed below.

Virtual Conversation
Join us Thursday, May 26, from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. CDT for an engaging conversation around the shared experiences of AAPI individuals and what we can learn as marketers to connect better with this audience. We’ve invited our partner Travel Unity to share cultural insights on this topic as we talk through representation and advocacy for the AAPI community. Add this event to your calendar here.
