The Celebration Continues! |
Hispanic Heritage Month can be recognized and celebrated in so many ways. The DEIC wanted to share a few more ideas and resources to explore to honor Hispanic and Latinx cultures this month and year-round.
We encourage you to seek out resources to learn more about our country’s rich Hispanic history and influence. Below are several virtual art and cultural tours to explore to learn about the diverse stories and contributions of Latinx individuals that have helped shape our national identity.
Virtual Tours:
Enjoying food native to Latin American countries and territories is also an amazing way to celebrate the culture. Put on your chef’s hat and cook a new recipe, or seek out a Latin American restaurant to try in your city.
We also invite you to check out films and books that elevate Hispanic voices and tell culturally rich stories. Here are several movies and books the DEI Council recommends enjoying this month.

Also a reminder to join us on Wednesday October 6 at 1:00 p.m. CDT for the webinar premiere of Vistas Latinas: A Landmark Study on U.S. Travelers of Hispanic Descent. Danny Guerrero and Chris Davidson, along with Roni Weiss of Travel Unity, will be presenting the findings of this study which examine the attitudes, opinions and sentiments of U.S. Hispanic travelers.
