Dallas Galleria saw 90K visitors during Presidents' Day activation weekend where we had a 20-foot replica of Mount Rushmore on the ice skating rink for the month of February. The South Dakota team along with MMGY and MMGY NJF teams handed out branded swag, 210 South Dakota travel guides and 1,586 entries to our sweepstakes over a 5-day period. Consumers spent more than 22,700 hours watching the video content, which breaks down to 947 days or 3 years! Dallas is definitely "Sold on South Dakota"!

Travel is back and MMGY NJF is celebrating all month long. From handling PR for the Travel & Adventure Shows in Boston, LA, and NYC to Margot Kravchuk, Olivia Shaefers and Diana Piktel landing a home run feature in the Boston Globe with Andrew McCarthy. Next, in LA, Sara Gorgon was our broadcast wizard, landing TV segments on every major station in town - kudos! Finally, in NYC, Chris Davidson shared research, Julie Freeman led an agency-arranged panel discussion "The Changing Media Landscape: Diversity & Identity" and Lauren Kaufman moderated the celebrity panel with Peter Greenberg, Samantha Brown and Pauline Frommer.

Strategy + Travel Insights
The crisis in Ukraine has led to worldwide support and numerous travel impacts.
Earlier in the year, some anticipated international travel to Europe was predicted to overshadow domestic travel plans, but now the war in Ukraine is twice as likely as COVID-19 to impact Americans’ vacation plans to Europe. According to a pulse survey conducted by MMGY Travel Intelligence, about half of Americans who are considering planning a European vacation are currently in a wait-and-see mode. This has created a hesitancy around European travel. It's clear Americans have concerns about booking and traveling to Europe right now. What’s unclear is how long the hesitancy will last. Study findings can be found here.
While the COVID-19 crisis is nearing endemic levels, its impact is long from over.
Although traveler comfort has returned to pre-Omicron levels and, in many areas, it is approaching or even reaching pandemic-era highs. Concerns around personal finances – and even why and how people travel – are still being impacted. And while some travel behaviors, like taking shorter but more frequent trips, have swung back to pre-pandemic levels, other behaviors around workcations and celebratory travel are still in flux.
