Congratulations to the Sensei website team (Anna Lowry, Bailey Brown, Tim McCraley, Brooke Burge, Sarika Chawla, Alli Worley and Chris Ruder) on the successful launch of the new Sensei.com. Ahead of Sensei opening their second wellness retreat, Porcupine Creek, MMGY delivered a renewed vision for the website that includes a bold new design, streamlined navigation and scalability for the brand to add new properties to the website in the future. In the first week, the website has seen impressive results including a 29% increase in booking engine referrals and 698% increase in email sign ups!

Congratulations to Erin Yang for her continued work in keeping the dream of travel alive for clients like Taiwan. In the past two weeks she has delivered on two virtual events for the client. The first was a Virtual Cooking Event with a livestreamed cooking demonstration from Taiwan. Big thanks also to Christy Vaught for her contributions on event logistics and managing the amazing gift boxes that were sent to 70 media and influencers prior to the event. The second event was in cooperation with SITE (Society for Incentive Travel Excellence). Erin recruited an amazing guest speaker from Taiwan to speak to the policies and procedures they are putting in place to welcome back incentive travelers.
A huge shout out goes to Andrea Gaggioni for securing a stellar piece in Vogue magazine. It not only captured Costa Rica’s true essence, but it took you through a 2,000+ descriptive word journey that leaves its readers yearning for more. Andrea's work and dedication continue to shine through.

High-fives to the Visit California team for all of their efforts on Dreaming On in California, another creative and encompassing initiative that once again moved the client from their comfort space of media relations to a consumer-facing position. The two-month campaign supported the state's reopening and included two press conferences (one with California governor, Gavin Newsom), a week-long series of activations for consumers to experience celebratory do-overs of missed milestones due to the pandemic, and a satellite media tour that netted 25 interviews for Visit California CEO and president, Caroline Beteta. The celebrations included more than 200 consumers and ranged from a sunset dinner along the coast with celebrity chef Curtis Stone, luxury road trips in Southern and Northern California, epic Disneyland Resort vacations, a VIP baseball experience with the San Diego Padres, and fairytale micro-weddings in Napa.

Pride Panel
MMGY Global offices celebrated Pride Month with Drag Queen Bingo in late June! The very talented queen, Joy, led us through five rounds of bingo while jamming to music and cracking jokes along the way. Bingo winners were awarded with gift cards, and small in-office gatherings were hosted in various locations. LA, pictured here, enjoyed a mimosa brunch during the event.

Congrats Megan Roush!
In honor of Megan's wedding this week, a few of her teammates planned a *SURPRISE* bridal shower at the KC office! The surprise went off without a hitch, and the group enjoyed bubbles and bites as they celebrated the bride-to-be!

Tracking America's Recovery
COVID-19 has disrupted nearly every aspect of life. Moody's helped create a Back-to-Normal Index that helps consolodate 37 national- and state-level indicators to help show how the economy continues to change as we grapple with life during the pandemic.
Portrait of American Travelers® Survey
MMGY Travel Intelligence has released the findings from the 2021 "Summer Edition" of its Portrait of American Travelers® survey, conducted in April. The report explains in detail how Americans’ interests in leisure travel have rapidly increased as vaccinations have become widely available and states peel back related COVID-19 restrictions. In fact, the MMGY Traveler Sentiment Index (TSI) rose to an all-time high of 129, an increase of 10 points compared to last quarter.

The intent to take a vacation over the next six months has increased significantly, with 72% of U.S. adults planning to do so – up from 62% recorded during the last Portrait of American Travelers® survey conducted in February 2021. The biggest rise in intent to travel in the next six months is amongst Boomers, increasing from 54% to 70%.

For more information about the findings of the report, please reach out to Leanne Hill or Chris Davidson.
