Colorado Tourism Inclusivity in Travel Advisory Group
MMGY client Colorado Tourism has launched the Colorado For All - Colorado Employees Reflect on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion video as part of a larger statewide initiative. The Colorado Tourism Office has convened the Inclusivity in Travel Advisory Group to consider ways that Colorado can share a warmer welcome for all travelers, regardless of race or ethnicity, sexual orientation or ability. Watch the video and learn more about this effort on their dedicated website.
DEIC Applications
Thank you to all of our global colleagues who submitted DEIC applications by the March 12 deadline. DEI Co–Chairs will be reviewing all of the responses and will inform applicants in April. Stay tuned.

You and Your Benefits
What to know (in case you didn't) |
You’re allowed to carryover up to five days of PTO! You’ve worked hard to earn that PTO, so reward yourself by scheduling a day off or two in the near future. We all deserve a little break sprinkled throughout the year – why not start now!
When you start using your PTO carryover at the beginning of the year you won't run into the issue of hitting your PTO accrual cap. Your PTO carryover amount will still count toward the pre–established accrual cap (based on length of service). This means that if an employee hits their accrual cap with a combination of carryover and accrued days, the employee must use PTO carryover before being able to accrue any more PTO. Therefore, if the employee uses their carry over earlier in the year, you won't run into an issue of your accrual stopping. Start planning time off to reward yourself for your hard work!

Prepare for Takeoff Strategy + Travel Insights

|
As we work to navigate and understand today’s changing traveler habits, this week’s Strategic Update highlights the MMGY Traveler Sentiment Index, which is one of the most cited travel resources in the world. The TSI is derived from six variables associated with demand for travel and what we are seeing below showcases the ”V” recovery taking shape and overall sentiment skyrocketing to pre-pandemic levels in less than nine months. As a reference it took just over five years for that level of growth in the TSI following the 2008 financial crisis.
To learn more about our latest POV on recovery, read Clayton's article here. |

Coffee Catch-Ups
To support employees who have been looking for a way to connect in person during this extended WFH period, we recently launched Coffee Catch-Ups! This optional program gives people a chance to get together in small groups with new employees and colleagues from other teams to share ideas, learn what's happening in other parts of the company and just catch up on life. The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, and folks have really been enjoying having an opportunity to socialize in person. Check out these pics of some of our catch-ups in KC, and be on the lookout for more photos from other locations in future newsletters.
