Volunteer Virtually with Lead to Read |
Lead to Read KC is a literacy program for Kansas City-area urban schools, where children and volunteers bond over books. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and school closures, Lead to Read KC has launched a virtual volunteer program. Studies are predicting significant learning loss due to school closures, so Lead to Read plans to serve at least 500 students this semester and expand into a summer program to help students catch up and keep up during this critical time. If you are interested in becoming a reading mentor, learn more here.

Visit KC Shoot: Coronavirus–Friendly |
In late October, the Visit KC team captured a library of images and video. The one-day shoot covered five locations (including the National WWI Museum Memorial and the new Loews Hotel) and focused on coronavirus-friendly moments for both the leisure and conventions audiences. Coordinating the shoot was a huge team effort and the client was thrilled with the results.
