Outback Ballooning
It doesn’t get much more serene than floating over the wide expanse of the outback while the sun rises. Outback Ballooning has been operating in Alice Springs for nearly 25 years, making them one of Australia’s longest established and most reliable ballooning companies. The semi-arid climate of Alice Springs means balloons are very likely to go up most mornings. During the flight, guests will see red kangaroos hopping through their natural habitat as the sun rises over the nearby West MacDonnell ranges. After the flight, the crew treats everyone to a light breakfast, sparkling wine and fruit juice to round out the perfect morning.

Sea Darwin – Turtle Tracks
Did you know sea turtles lay eggs on the islands off of Darwin’s coastlines? Bare Sand Island is a key Australian nesting ground for flatback and olive ridley sea turtles. Sea Darwin operates a tour called “Turtle Tracks,” which takes participants from Stokes Hill Wharf to the remote island by boat. On the tour, guests will learn about the turtles, the Aboriginal Larrakia stories and the history of the regions while daytime turns to night and the turtles begin to lay their eggs. Lucky participants may even catch a glimpse of hatchlings emerging from their dens.

Sounds of Silence
One of the most popular, tried-and-true activities at Uluru just might be the Sounds of Silence dining experience. The alfresco dinner takes place on a dune top overlooking Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, with Uluru visible in the distance. The evening kicks off with sparkling wine and canapes while the sun sets, before moving to the nearby dining area with dinner served under the stars. Guests can listen to the sounds of a didgeridoo while they enjoy bush tucker-inspired foods, Australian beer and wine, and decadent desserts.
