Tourism Northern Territory’s Message to Our Partners
While tourism to Australia and the Northern Territory remains on pause, we’re beginning to see indications of recovery as vaccination rates improve in Australia and abroad, laying a path toward reopening. There’s still lots to sort out in terms of details and any potential timeline, but all signs are pointing toward a potential reopening once 80% of Australia’s population is fully vaccinated. Under the Stars Glamping Experience in Katherine
Katherine Outback Experience has unveiled a brand new glamping experience. Guests can expect warm country hospitality with home-cooked meals and spacious tents decked out with luxury comforts, including a king bed. After a day of exploring Nitmiluk National Park or horseback riding on the farm, nights can be spent cozying around the communal campfire and outback stargazing.

Willing Distillery Opens in Darwin
Willing Distillery is a new family-owned spirits distillery, tasting room and cocktail bar located in Darwin’s industrial district. The latest distillery to open and one of the few in the Top End, Willing Distillery specializes in traditionally distilled craft spirits and uniquely Australian flavors, like desert lime. Willing Distillery prides itself as the first to use a traditional pot still, single-shot distillation process for its gin – an ode to its passion for the craft!

Crooked Compass Launches Two New NT Luxury Tours
Crooked Compass announced two new high-end luxury tours exploring some of the most remote and picturesque regions of the Territory. The new East Arnhem Land and Wessel Islands tour showcases the Yolngu culture’s traditions of mud crabbing, weaving and more before heading out on a six-day charter voyage. The West Arnhem Land and Top End Safari tour explores the untouched wilderness of Arnhem Land, adding on Kakadu and Nitmuluk National Parks.

New Direct Charter Flights Between Alice Springs and Uluru
Chartair has announced the launch of a new flight route between Alice Springs and Ayers Rock Airport, providing the only direct air route between the destinations. The new route, available twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, will see travelers fly in a Cessna 402 aircraft with a maximum of six passengers on board. The route will provide travelers with the quickest – and one of the most scenic – routes between two iconic Red Centre destinations.
