Tumbuna Festival
(and region)
|
Forty-five minutes from Mount Hagen, Papua New Guinea's third-largest city, the Tumbuna Festival takes place on the grounds of Rondon Ridge. This private singsing is a gathering of tribes or villages to showcase their distinct culture, and is attended by hundreds of people. This year, the Tumbuna Festival will take place on Friday, May 22. The singsing provides guests an exclusive and intimate experience with the local tribes, and an opportunity to get a glimpse of Papua New Guinea’s rich culture. The Tumbuna singsing celebrates culture, tradition and the ways of the ancestors with lively celebrations.
