Papua New Guinea - a million different journeys

COVID-19 UPDATE
As of February 15, 2022, Papua New Guinea is open to international travelers! Those wishing to return to the destination after nearly two years of closure should be aware of the following:
  • All international travelers to PNG must be fully vaccinated if 18 years of age or older.
  • Arriving travelers must have a valid COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to first departure flight (children ages 5 and under are exempt).
  • Travelers will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival. If the result is negative, no quarantine is needed. Those who test positive must quarantine for seven days.
  • Travelers who have had COVID-19 within three months prior to their trip to PNG may obtain a medical certificate from their country of departure certifying that they are not contagious. Travelers who have this medical certificate must still take a test within 72 hours of their departure flight and must still take a test upon arrival at PNG.
