In late 2019, Rwanda welcomed its second One&Only property called One&Only Gorilla's Nest, which consists of 14 rooms and seven suites offering guests breathtaking views of the Virunga Volcano Range with luxury amenities.
In addition, this fall brought new luxury properties to Volcanoes National Park. Opened in August and situated on 178 acres, Singita Kwitonda Lodge and Kataza House is a four-suite villa designed for exclusive use that aims to offer guests the ultimate secluded luxury getaway. The word Umuganda translated from Kinyarwanda means "coming together in common purpose to achieve an outcome." On the last Saturday of every month, the country stops normal operations for the morning in order to come together to work on a community benefit project, such as litter cleanup, tree planting or building houses for the vulnerable. |
